Jaclyn

Jaclyn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Education Studies from Yale University. She is certified in 6-12 Biology and has taught high school science grades 9-12 and has organized and taught middle school summer programs grades 6-8. Using her experience as a Recruitment Coordinator in the Yale Undergraduate Admissions Office, she has independently tutored students in test prep and admissions for three years. As a recent teacher, Jaclyn has experience creating, structuring, and teaching a classroom via Zoom, giving her a unique perspective on distance learning. She has extensive coursework in creative writing and she’s designed and taught social studies courses, journalism courses, and personal narrative courses. She is available for distance learning for 5th- 12th grade pods and individual tutoring. She considers social-emotional learning a pillar of her teaching and tutoring practice. Jaclyn is looking forward to improving educational outcomes and achieving holistic personal growth for her learners in the Beach Cities.
